Set within one of England’s most evocative countryside landscapes, The Lakes by Yoo Retreats is shaped by a close relationship with nature, where water, forest, and light define a way of living rooted in wellbeing and shared experience.

The Club House extends this ethos beyond the retreat, welcoming both members and the wider public. It becomes one of the key elements of the estate, bringing together food, art, and gathering in a single destination oriented toward the lake and surrounding treetops.

Guided by the site’s L-shaped footprint, the architecture unfolds as a series of adaptable spaces that move fluidly between intimacy and openness. Natural materials, drawn from the region’s heritage, are carefully reinterpreted to enhance atmosphere and tactility, filtering light and allowing it to shimmer across surfaces. Above, the members’ club opens to panoramic views of water and forest, while below, the terrace gently connects the building to the lake.

More than an amenity, the Club House is an experience, reflecting and reinforcing the distinctive way of life at The Lakes by Yoo.
